Cheese Scones

I use Hogan's Scones (which I buy on Amazon):
I prepare as directed, and then add 1/4 cup shredded cheese (sharp cheddar, for us, but any cheese would do)  and some ground pepper- which I don't measure.  Just a few grinds of the grinder.  Then I bake as directed (though I use 400 rather than 450- it works better for me).

After they are baked, I might serve them with olive spread (see below) and sliced turkey - it's fantastic!
